Restoring Our Relationship with Nature Series

We have as humanity culturally co-evolved with fungi. And wherever we look on Earth, and every civilization that we look into, we see uses of fungi being apparent, either for feeding, healing, clothing, and so much more, weaving, dyeing … The ancestral and traditional uses of fungi around the world have been a focus of ours for a very long time. The nature-based solutions that fungi hold are overwhelming, and they’re not new discoveries. They are ancient uses in this cultural coevolution that we must go back to.
— Giuliana Furci

Join us for a screening of Giuliana Furci’s 40-minute interview “Bringing Justice to Fungi” followed by an open space for community reflections and dialogue.

Giuliana shares about the magic, medicine, and interconnectedness of fungi as well as the conservation efforts to help protect fungi. She speaks about the importance of fungi education and the Fauna Flora Funga initiative, which aims to include this absolutely crucial yet under-recognized kingdom of life in global conservation priorities.

The online discussion following the interview replay will be facilitated by Julie Caldwell (ONE Visioning Council Member), Lillian Edwards (ONE Visioning Council Member), and Elyshia Holliday (ONE Executive Director).

This donation-based event is offered on a sliding scale, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
