This tangy and sweet recipe is a delicious drink that hydrates and cools. Rose petals lend their flavor and love. Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) is a wonderful adaptogen to help you modulate the negative effects of stress.
Also in this recipe are the mineral-rich dandelion roots (Taraxacum officinale), which support the liver, and the antioxidant-rich hibiscus (Sabdariffa hibiscus).

1. Add the herbs to a quart sized canning jar.
2. Add honey.
3. Fill the jar with apple cider vinegar.
4. Cover with a glass or plastic lid (avoid metal as it will corrode).
5. Shake well.
6. If using fresh herbs, steep and store in the fridge. If using dried herbs, steep and store in a cool, dark location.
7. Let it steep for 2 weeks, continuing to shake it daily. Strain when ready.
8. Store in the refrigerator and use within 1 year.
Yield: Approximately 3¾ cups
To use: Add 1-2 tablespoons of the oxymel to a glass of sparkling water. Enjoy the sweet, tart, and refreshing drink! If you want to add more honey, feel free. This recipe also makes a good salad dressing. Simply use 1 part of the oxymel to 3 parts of oil. (For example, use 1 tablespoon oxymel to 3 tablespoons olive oil.)
